Rosemary Whiskey Sour

- Jon Wise

Our window box herb garden is off to a great start. Just in time for World Whiskey Day. Here’s a tweak on the classic Whiskey Sour that’s perfect for a late afternoon on the patio or an evening with friends.

Squeeze a lemon (2 oz) into your tumbler, straining out the seeds and pulp. Add 2 oz of your favorite whiskey. Right now I’m working on a bottle of Jefferson. Muddle a sprig of rosemary in the tumbler for 30 seconds (more or less depending on how much flavoring you’d like). Add a dash (1/2 tsp) of agave for sweetening. Throw 3 ice cubes in and shake well. Pour and add a sprig of rosemary and a strip of your lemon peel for garnish. Enjoy.
